The MTA-GTS is passionate about motorsport and through this passion the MTA-GTS Motorsport Repair Team was formed. For many years the MTA-GTS Motorsport Repair Team have provide a mechanical and crash repair service to competitors in all manner of racing fields. What makes our Motorsport Repair Team so unique is that we are the only private training provider to offer this service.

Our past involvement with the Australian Formula One Grand Prix and current involvement in the annual Clipsal 500 Street Race and Classic Adelaide Rally has enabled us to build a reputation with competitors across Australia, many of whom would not have been able to compete at times had it not been for the hard work and expertise of the apprentices employed by The MTA‑Group Training Scheme Inc.

Apprentices on the team vary in experience ranging from 1st through to 4th year motor mechanics, panel beaters and vehicle painters. Apprentices are selected to participate through a combination of host employer feedback, trade school performance and enthusiasm for motorsport. A lucky few are selected to join a V8 Supercar Team for the duration of the Clipsal 500 race weekend, some of which have gone on to join these teams full time.
